Dr. Deitra C. Payne, Ph.D. has more than 15 years of corporate business experience. She has worked for numerous government contractors in the areas of operations, accounting and finance. In these positions, Dr. Payne managed multimillion dollar contracts, developed corporate budgets, and developed financial reporting systems to streamline work processes.

Dr. Payne holds a B.A. in Accounting, an M.A. in Public Policy and a Ph.D. in Management with a specialization in human resources. She is an adjunct professor and teaches courses in business, human resources and management. Dr. Payne is a member of numerous organizations to include the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE).

In 2006, Dr. Payne realized her dream when she founded C. Payne Consulting & Training (CPCT), LLC, a professional services business specializing in management consulting, training and coaching for businesses and individuals. Business services include diversity and sensitivity training, team building, conflict resolution and leadership coaching. Individual services include career transitioning and life coaching. Dr. Payne is caring and compassionate and is dedicated to helping her clients succeed and has partnered with other small businesses to bring her clients the best service possible. The mission of CPCT is to empower its clients with the knowledge, tools and resources to succeed. Dr. Payne was featured in the March, 2007 power issue of the Arizona Woman magazine as 1 of five Valley women CEO’s.

Dr. Payne is also a motivational speaker, author and a facilitator of empowerment workshops and seminars designed to uplift, inspire ad motivate others to live their best life. She is passionate about helping others and is currently working on several self-help and empowerment books. She is also planning to launch a woman’s magazine in late 2008.

Dr. Payne is committed to her community and giving back. She serves on the Board of Directors of Breaking Up Walls, Inc. She also volunteers her time to various organizations. In 2007, Dr. Payne was a presenter at the Phoenix National Youth Empowerment Conference.

Dr. Payne enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, playing tennis and is a lover of inspirational quotes. She ends every email with a quote by Gandhi which states, “You must be the change you want to see in the world.” She aspires to live up to this quote by being a great role model.
