Karen Taylor-Fletcher is a native Detroiter who moved into the Washington, DC metro area over twenty years ago. Ms. Taylor-Fletcher is the mother of three biological children and three foster children. For the past 20 years, Karen has been a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Virginia, and she has been employed with the Department of Defense, as a program, policy, budget, and financial analyst. Karen is a strong advocate for the rights of children in care and for individuals with physical and mental challenges. Karen is a graduate of Central State University (Wilberforce, Ohio) with a Bachelors of Science (Economics), and Bachelors of Arts (Philosophy). After becoming a wife and mother, she went back to school, to Averett University (Danville, VA) where she received her MBA. During her career, she attended and graduated from the Information Resource Management College, one of only two schools (the other being the War College) at the National Defense University. Karen is currently apart of the Army’s leadership. In April 2007, Karen started her own business as an investor in real estate, and as a Real Estate Resource Consultant. She specializes in tax sales and foreclosures and plans to serve the community with housing renovations and development projects . Ms. Taylor-Fletcher is the CEO of the Taylor-Fletcher Investment Group LLC.
